Holywell bay has always been and still is my favourite beach in Cornwall. Looking out towards the tall gull rocks amongst the hypnotic waves is paradise to me. No matter what the weather, rain or shine Holywell bay holds a place in my heart full of family holiday memories and peaceful day dreams. I loved visiting this mesmerising beach after so long, even though the Cornish wind was fighting against us we had a fun afternoon collecting sea shells and gazing out to gull rocks looking back at us.
On our travels back from Holywell bay we made a visit to Wheal Coates in Chapel Porth, another place which holds family holiday memories. Fighting against the strong coastal winds both my dad and I explored what was left of a old Cornish tin mine.
