This Christmas has felt extra special due to the stresses of uni life weighing down on me just weeks before I travelled home. Spending these past 2 weeks at home with my family was just what I needed before heading back to the lovable chaos that is university life. When you are a student living away from home it makes you very grateful for the small things in life that you once took for granted. Having central heating instead of relying on a tiny heater that you're too scared to use for too long, the never ending supply of food and having the ones you love under the same roof (even if they do drive you a teeny bit mad). Plus the endless cuddles with a certain tabby cat is an added bonus!

At the end of July me and my sister went for a much needed girly weekend getaway to Brighton. This was my first time visiting Brighton, I had been told by many people that it is similar to the atmosphere in Falmouth so I knew I would love it there.

Kynance Cove has to be one of the prettiest places in Cornwall and there are a lot of beautiful places! I visited Kynance Cove with my mum and dad when they travelled down to Cornwall to help me move out of my first year uni accommodation, I still don't know where that year went! We had the best weather and the sea looked like a postcard, I couldn't help but be a little speechless as we made our way down the rocky steps towards the tiny cove.
I recently spent a beautiful summers day at the Eden Project. This was my first visit and I loved every minute of walking around and exploring the hundreds of plants and flowers!

I spent a perfect afternoon in the sun at my favourite place and one of the most picturesque beaches in Cornwall. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, the sea was crystal clear and I loved swimming in the bluest water. 19/04/16

Rock cakes are one of the easiest baking recipes that I know of, taking only 10 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes in the oven you don't have to wait long to tuck into a tasty treat. Plus all of the ingredients are probably in your kitchen cupboards already with flour, egg, butter and caster sugar making up the main ingredients of the cakes. The recipe I use is from the BBC Food website (here). I have used this recipe countless times with a successful round of rock cakes made each time!

Holywell bay has always been and still is my favourite beach in Cornwall. Looking out towards the tall gull rocks amongst the hypnotic waves is paradise to me. No matter what the weather, rain or shine Holywell bay holds a place in my heart full of family holiday memories and peaceful day dreams. I loved visiting this mesmerising beach after so long, even though the Cornish wind was fighting against us we had a fun afternoon collecting sea shells and gazing out to gull rocks looking back at us.

Every year around the start of Spring I start to notice the colour change in magazines and on the high street. I can't help but feel excited to see all the sweet pastel colours and light tones back in my wardrobe.
Throughout London Fashion Week Somerset House hosted an exhibition showcasing up and coming designers from around the globe. Fashion Utopias was home to over 80 emerging fashion designers from 24 countries and embraced different cultures and journeys all under one roof.
Whilst on my travels around London Fashion Week I made a visit to the Vogue 100 exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.
Last week was my first experience at London Fashion Week. Even though I was only there to catch the last 2 days of fashion week it still felt like there was a constant buzz around London with the black fashion week cars being spotted around the show spaces and through the busy London streets.
